August 22, 2021

11 and a half years after the most devastating earthquake in the history of Haiti that killed over 200,000 people. On Saturday, August 14, 2021, a deadly 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Southern Haiti that impacted 1.2 million people. The poorest country on the American continent, already under insurmountable poverty, COVID-19, and political unrest, is now compounded with this earthquake disaster. In these particularly difficult times, access to health care is becoming even more scarce, especially in rural areas. In 2010, during the deadly earthquake, Healing the Sick Organization (HSO), which was in a latent state, helped set up in Croix-des-Bouquets, an open-air field hospital, where we helped more of a thousand victims of the earthquake. Once again, HSO is mobilizing medical relief efforts, in order not only to facilitate access to health care for as many people as possible, but also to provide the victims of this earthquake disaster with quality healthcare. Whatever it is, your contribution will help a victim in dire need.
